Why I built this
After watching friends and colleagues wrestle with bloated job boards, generic listings, and endless noise, I decided to build something simpler. With a background in computer science and a master's degree, I wanted a curated, low-friction place where remote roles include the context that actually matters: salary ranges, timezone expectations, tech stacks, and real signals of credibility.
RemoteCareerDesk is a lean, carefully designed marketplace — curated by one person who cares about UX and usefulness. It’s driven by feedback from early users, manual verification where it helps, and lightweight automation where it speeds things up.
I’m building this for fun, to solve a problem I felt personally, and to explore a sustainable niche business that can pay for itself while staying useful to candidates.
