Terms & Conditions.
RemoteCareerDesk exists to connect remote teams and talent. These terms outline the guardrails that keep the marketplace safe, transparent, and fair for everyone.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing RemoteCareerDesk (the “Platform”) you agree to these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and any additional policies referenced here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
These terms apply to job seekers, employers, recruiters, partners, and visitors (“Users”). You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts to use the Platform.
2. What we provide
RemoteCareerDesk is a curated marketplace for remote-friendly work. We aggregate, review, and publish listings, offer talent discovery tools, and send opt-in alerts.
We may update, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. We may also limit access for maintenance or security reasons.
- Job discovery and filtering
- Employer job submissions and featured placements
- Optional resume insights and email alerts
- Editorial content, guides, and newsletters
3. Accounts & eligibility
Some features (job alerts, job submissions, saved searches) require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, safeguard your password, and notify us of unauthorized access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate our policies, appear fraudulent, or endanger other users.
4. User conduct
You agree NOT to use RemoteCareerDesk to:
- Post misleading, discriminatory, or fraudulent content
- Solicit upfront payments from candidates
- Spread malware, spam, or automated scraping without consent
- Harass, impersonate, or collect data on other users
- Reverse engineer or disrupt the Platform
5. Job listings & content
Employers must ensure postings are legitimate, accurately described, and compliant with employment laws as well as pay-transparency requirements where applicable.
By submitting content you grant RemoteCareerDesk a worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that content in connection with the Platform.
We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove listings that violate policy or appear low quality.
6. Privacy & data
We collect only the data needed to run the Platform and do not sell personal information.
Read our Privacy Policy for full details on data usage, cookies, analytics, and your rights under GDPR/CCPA.
7. Payments & refunds
Job seekers use the Platform for free. Employers may purchase premium placements, featured slots, or bundles. Fees are clearly disclosed before checkout and processed via third-party providers.
Unless required by law, payments are non-refundable. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days and are evaluated case by case.
8. Advertising & third parties
We may display partner ads or link to third-party services. RemoteCareerDesk is not responsible for external content, privacy policies, or availability. Clicking external links is at your own risk.
Some partners use cookies for analytics or personalization. See their policies for details.
9. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee the accuracy of listings, the behavior of employers, or successful hiring outcomes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RemoteCareerDesk is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including lost opportunities, data, or revenue). Total liability will not exceed the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim or $100 USD, whichever is greater.
10. Termination & changes
We may suspend or end access for policy violations, legal reasons, or technical/security issues. Sections that logically survive termination (intellectual property, indemnity, disclaimers, governing law) remain in effect.
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced via email or prominent notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, binding arbitration will be conducted in Delaware. You waive participation in class or representative actions.
